Questions, answered.

Auction Intel Online — ask anything
G'day — I'm the Auction Intel assistant. Tap a question and I'll walk you through it.
Where does the data come from?
We continuously index Pickles, Manheim, IAAI, Grays and Slattery — listings, photos, damage notes and final hammer prices — into one searchable place.
How is the suggested bid worked out?
We estimate resale from comparable recent sales, subtract buyer fees and a damage-adjusted repair estimate, and return a max bid that protects your margin.
What is WOVR, and why does it matter?
The Written-Off Vehicle Register. A WOVR flag means the vehicle was previously written off — it affects resale value, insurance, and what you can legally do with it. We surface it on every lot.
Which auctions are covered?
Pickles, Manheim, IAAI, Grays and Slattery — salvage, ex-fleet and general sales across Australia.
How current is the data?
Listings refresh through the day, and we capture the final hammer price after each lot closes.
Do I bid through Auction Intel?
No — you bid on the source site. We give you the intel and your ceiling; you place the bid where the lot lives.
Can I get a car inspected before I bid?
Yes — through AVIBM, our inspection-booking service. Found a promising lot here? Book an independent inspector through AVIBM to physically check it before auction day, so you bid on facts, not photos.
What is AVIBM?
AVIBM is our companion platform for booking vehicle inspections. Arrange an on-site or pre-purchase inspection on a lot you found here, and book a WOVI (Written-Off Vehicle Inspection) for a repairable write-off you plan to re-register.
How do I book an inspection?
Pick the vehicle, choose an inspection type and a time on AVIBM, and you get a confirmation. It is the easiest way to de-risk a salvage or write-off buy before you commit a bid.
Is it free to use?
Browsing and scanning are free; Pro unlocks unlimited scans, full price history and the max-bid calculator. Inspection bookings are handled and priced through AVIBM.
